Is kvit a collection agency?

No. kvit is a software tool you — the creditor — use to manage your own receivables. Emails come from your domain, voice calls from your number, and debtor payments land directly in your account. For German Mahnverfahren under the Legal tier we partner with a BfJ-registered Inkassobetrieb (Austria and Switzerland planned 2027 via licensed local partners).

Does this comply with the EU AI Act?

kvit is designed for EU AI Act compliance. We score invoices, not persons — the default-probability model evaluates the contractual document, not the human debtor. The platform is built around a SHA-256 hash-chained audit log (Art. 12 logging) and a human-override interface; both ship with backend v1. External counsel sign-off is in progress before public launch.

What about GDPR?

We're EU-built and EU-hosted. The AVV (Auftragsverarbeitungsvertrag) and DPIA template are under counsel review for publication before our first paying customer. Debtor data stays in EU data centres. Right-to-erasure requests are handled within 30 days; a one-click workflow ships with backend v1.

A clean, modern web portal in their language. They can pay, request a payment plan, or dispute the invoice. No threats. No legal jargon. No call centre. We designed the experience to preserve the customer relationship.

Which billing tools does kvit work with?

Accepted Answer

On day 1: Stripe. Within 30 days: Lexoffice and Sevdesk. Within 90 days: Chargebee, easybill, Billomat, FastBill, and DATEV. Want one we don't support yet? Tell us.

What languages does the AI speak?

Accepted Answer

Email and SMS dunning launches in German and English. Voice in German and English ships with backend v1; French, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch voice follow in the months after. The debtor's language is detected from invoice metadata and prior interactions.

Can I run this without sending data to OpenAI?

Accepted Answer

We use Anthropic Claude (EU instance) for all AI generation. No customer or debtor data is used to train third-party models. Enterprise customers can request an EU-residency-only deployment under a signed DPA.
